Basel is buzzing with Eurovision excitement, and so am I! After Nemo’s win last year with “The Code,” the 69th contest kicks off in Switzerland on May 13th and ends with the grand final on the 17th.
It is interesting to check the odds each year and see who might take the crown, but this year, they keep shifting. I’ve done research into predictions to help you get a clearer picture.

Austria’s representative, JJ, enters Eurovision with a powerful song inspired by techno and opera. The impressive live potential and unique blend are reflected in the odds at around 3.40, a solid 20% winning chance. France – Louane, 7.25 Odds to Win
Louane represents France with a touching ballad that combines tender piano melodies and powerful vocals. Her status as a popular artist and the emotional depth of her song have earned her the odds at 7.25. A 7% chance of winning gets France a spot in the Eurovision’s top tier.

Israel – Yuval Raphael, 13.00 Odds to Win
Israel enters Eurovision with a hopeful trilingual ballad about healing. Despite mixed reviews of Yuval Raphael’s performance and not being a top favourite, the odds improved, closing the gap in the betting markets as rehearsals progress. The odds are nearly 13.00, suggesting a 5% chance to win.
The Netherlands – Claude, 19.00 Odds to Win
The Netherlands ranks lower in the betting odds, sitting around 19.00, which suggests about a 3% chance of winning. Ukraine’s band Ziferblat has strong national support, with their emotional song reflecting hope in the current situation. Though opinions divide, the numbers show that they have a 2% chance to win, with odds at 41.00. The bettors view them as a long shot, still standing a chance to qualify in a high place.

Albania stays true to its cultural roots by blending traditional folk with modern electronic beats in its Eurovision 2025 entry. Although Shkodra Elektronike song’s odds are at around 51.00 (about a 2% chance), their originality and heartfelt performance have earned them growing support.
Eurovision 2025 Final Take
After a quick look at the Eurovision 2025 predictions, I can say it’s shaping up to be an exciting contest. The top entries range from catchy pop to soulful ballads with unique twists, making the lineup really diverse.
Sweden is the clear favorite, leading with about 2.75, backed strongly by bettors. Austria and France are close behind, both bringing emotional performances with odds around 3.40 and 7.25. Israel and Belgium are gaining attention but face tough competition from the top picks.
Finland and the Netherlands with fun and entertaining acts have smaller chances, while Ukraine and Albania, despite their originality and cultural inclusion, have odds at 41.00 and 51.00.
As the semi-finals approach, the excitement builds, but the odds for now suggest Sweden’s victory is the most likely outcome.
